The wheel will be kept untouched; the tyre is indeed 5.00-16
@bubba: the pony symbol is a reference to the Westfalia logo? ...means you have more information, please?
No.. not really.. Just looking at the logo. I was thinking military or fire trailer would be my best guess. The horse logo is bang on to the westfalia horse logo.. just my 2 cents. |

hello
just pick up this set of 16" 5x205 wheel
is that for a barndoor ? ( maybe the same for split beetle ? )
2 seems to be produced by kronpriz ( opel factory ) , the 2 other no special marking
also with vintage tire Smile ( 1956 ) |

Split Beetle are 3.00x16
Barndoor are 3.50x16
Porsche 356 are 3.25x16
If they are all marked 3.00x16 they are Split Beetle size.
I am not familiar with Opel marking and if those are original VW wheels.
Are they for an Opel vehicle?
They may be different than VW wheels, such as a different offset.
In your Opel photo above I think the lug nut hole is different than a VW wheel.
I found this thread that may have some more information on Opel wheels:

Opel rims are in 3,00 x 16 and also in 3,50 x 16. Opel used different clips for the hub caps. VW hub caps are larger in diameter and don“t fit on Opel rims. In around 1937 there were Opel rims called "Herzloch-Felgen" (heart hole rims). The Opel Super 6 had them in 3,50 x 16. |
