well since most of us remove the fuel enricheners from them what are you guys doin to make them start easier in ass cold temps? it took 6 tries this mornin before it would run long enough to get goin. 20 deg outside.
if a 36Hp shroud would keep it cool enough in the summer id switch and put my enricheners back on |

Pump the gas about 5-10 times before you start it. Should only take a couple tries. Mine warms up in about 30 seconds to a good idle, but I have a snappy high compression engine, and lower milder compression engines may need a little more time.
The cold start circuits are a nice option, but to me, they are just something else to have to mess with, and they are prone to sticking open unless you work them over to work smoothly. Centermounts benefit from them significantly. Dual carbs just don't need them after a minute of running. |

pump it then let it sit for 10 seconds or so before trying to start it.....give the fuel a little time to partially vaporize. |
