I am about to put my engine back together after getting it back from the machine shop. I was wondering if this is an ok set up. Here are some specs:

1776
69mm crank
90.5 p/c
full flow
2 barrel weber
stock heads

My machinist said he would run a stock camshaft. I have a 110 cam. Would I see any problems with this?

Sorry I don't know the compression ratio yet.

what was his reason behind a stock cam? You'll be fine with a 110.

Your not saying much with your info. Everyone will ask for info on your heads exaust compression ratio ect. ect. ect. from the looks of your avatar you may have a bus.?.? If that is the case you need a combo that will run cool strong and be able to handle the demands of a heavy bus. I would stick with the stock cam or maybe a engle w100. the w100 cam makes good tourq down low wich is good for pushing a bus around . You didn't mention what heads you have, if you have stock heads a good valve job and mild port cleanup would be fine and solid rocker shafts would be a good Idea. keep the compression ratio around 6.5 or 7 to 1 and it shold run great. As for the carb you are not clear on that on either. Weber has dozens of 2 barrel carbs in many configurations. I don't like the 2 barrel progessive 32/34 setups. I had one for a while and was never happy with it. I would consider duals like ict 34's Or 40 kadrons work good. IDF 40's can be tuned to run verry well in an aplication like yours. It all really depends on your application and there is much more left to decide on before you slap it together and run it.
It's all in the combo and the details.
