Only if you have pics. You're baja has come a long way. I remember version 2.0. Those were the days. |

Yeah, I guess you could call this v3.0. Version 4.0 is gonna be A-arm, that might be my winter project. That, and a conversion to coilovers on the back end. Then I'll REALLY be set up to get airborne! |

When you finally do get airborn, you want to keep the airflow "front to rear". I know you Cisco guys have problems with that concept. |

Actually, proper airflow is side to side. Only NEBS compliant stuff goes front to back... |

I hope you took the time to inspect all the welds on your Blind Chicken arms. I recently repaired both side of my arms when I noticed that the bearing housing had cracks 3/4 of the way around them. When I repaired them I noticed that many of the welds had poor penetration and that the weld was actually only sitting on the surface on many of the areas of the arms where there was a larger density of metal that required more heat to penetrate.
I ended up rewelding around the bearing housing a gusseting the housing to reinforce the housing back to the arms.
Something to think about if you plan on jumping that thing. |

riNR, this is my second pair of BCR arms, and I haven't seen any issues, all the welds look like they have good penetration. When I took the first pair off, they looked fine.
Bomber, I have about 18 inches of clearance under the pan front and back. |

18" sweet! I knew there was a reason I was following your build... so if I go with 700x15s all around I'll have the 15" I'm looking for.
very nice, oh and your Baja is my favorite "home" build |

I was wondering what size axles you were running on there? I got the same arms with an 091 tranny and My drive axles were hitting the inside of the stub. Driver side had little or no play. They were stock bus axles, 18 1/4 i beleive. Car looks good! |

They are the same length as stock bus (18 1/4), but since I'm running 930 cv's, they are splined for those cv's. |

Well, after replacing the driver's side trailing arm pivot bolt for the third time, I guess it's time to put in some sort of retaining pin. Anyone willing to share pics of their solution? My copy of Hibbert's bible disappeared, so I'm looking for suggestions. |

Thanks for bumoing your thread. I'm doing the whole 2x3 thing now and will re-read for a refresher.
Best solution I've seen for the trailing arm pivots was to get a 17mm hex bolt, weld that onto a small piece of bar. Drill a hole in the bar. Weld a tab on your torsion with a hole. Put the 17mm bolt head into your pivot bolt then bolt the tabs together to keep it from twisting. I'll try to find a picture.
(edit)NOT MY PICTURE--> This is the one.

This is how I am going to do mine, except instead of using a slip pin, I will use a bolt with a nyloc nut. I think this setup is kinda, dumb@$$ proof. |

The time has come to sell the bug. It's been a blast, but I just don't drive it that much, and I've got way too many other things going on. If anyone's interested, the ad can be found at
