Going for Tiguan steelies on the syncrowesty. Got four original ones (black, with tires) and four brand new aftermarket ones. They will be machined and sent for powder coating next week. Gunmetal grey is the color of choice. Will be capped off with Caddy hubcaps. I think it will look sweet.

Those caps won’t fit on the front of a Syncro.

Not without a bit of modding. It will work nicely 🤓

I'd be interested in seeing what you get sorted. I didn't put much effort into it with mine.

Temporary solution. Will make an extension a la the 16" syncro hubcaps.

Okay so I purchased some steel wheels and had them bored, and wrapped them in some 215/65/16 KO2s... Question, can I reuse the same mounting hardware from 14' steelies (stock)?

you will need smaller ball seat hardware. Check with T3 Technique for the nuts & bolts.

Thanks is it the same lugs I would need for Mercedes wheels? They have those listed but nothing specific to Tiguan.

Check for the R13 ball seat for late vw & audi on T3technique web site.

How does the thickness/gauge of the steel compare to the original VW steel wheels, and other VAG rims? I'm running 15 inch Passat steelies, and notice the steel is thinner than the stock Vanagon rims, and the lips bend relatively easily under offroad use (maybe I'm airing down too much at 25 psi). Fortunately cheap and can be re-bent.
