HI guys, I solved a little problem today and thought I would post it. went to the NAPA store to get more Permatex aviation 3H as my old bottle was, well, OLD. In the store they had aviation but NO 3H! The label looked just the the same as before but was Part # 765-1210. The counter man was no help in confirming if this was the SAME as the 3H or not.
Called Permatex and found out that, YES it is the same, that's just NAPA's numbering system. The Permatex #3 is an old number, all Permatex products now carry a five digit number. Also the "H" in 3H just means 4 oz size.
SO the old 3H designation is NOW:
Permatex Aviation Form-A-Gasket Sealant Liquid
Permatex Part #80019
NAPA Item #765-1210

Thanks for the info.
Me, I wish you could still get Permetex Super 300, which the Avation replaced several years. Avaition works good, but I liked the 300 better. I thought I found someone online that had it a couple of years ago and bought a couple of cans, but when it arrived it was just the aviation. Oh well. |

| you know that stuff doesn't really "go bad". if it gets thick you can thin it with 90% isopropyl alcohol |
