some progress with the steering box clean up with some of the brakes components.

I have used my ultrasound cleaner, with hot water, Lysol toilet cleaner and baking soda. not more rust and grease.

Great stuff! Nice job on the glove box cover, bet you spent some time wondering about cutting a hole in the OG door!?

As usual, stunning work you are doing!

Question: Did you order new carpeting cut, edged and sewn to your original red vinyl and rubber front wall mats, or is that your factory original carpet cleaned up? And who provides this service in the UK? Looks great...

Bill Bowman

Hi Bill,

I sent my original carpet so Dylan could re-use what ever was re-usable like the red leatherette, and aluminum rings for the heather holes.

we used the OG carpet as template to cut new carpet with the exact shape and color, same for the edges, he had different color available so we choosed the one the matched the best.
the rubber mat is new from Germany it is a very accurate reproduction.

So at the end the carpet is new but all of the specific details have been redone like the original one.
