No holes in the main cargo area, only on the cargo doors, "universally" drilled as I suggested, regardless of what model they went on...

Here's the cargo door. They are both drilled, "universally", but never had panels...

Whats left of the OG paint on my 66 kombi. Someone chemically stripped the outside, minus the roof. :(

Wow!

Cool Bus but the emblem being too low, '66/'67 front bumper, and flared out rear wheel well lips have always killed me.

sorry for the thread jack, but yes John, we're talking unmolested kombi's.

I'm gonna start a separate thread on Kombi interiors.
On with the Greyness!

Didn't notice the bumper yet but it's the wheel/color combo that works for me!

Was this grey ever used on 1959 Double Cabs??..

I think I seen a pic of a 1960 with it, but not a 59..

I am repainting my 59 and am thinking of going with this grey..

thanks for any help..

Be right back, need to go change my pants. Beautiful!

Thanks for the idea on mounting a paper towel holder on the spice rack. Great idea.

It's listed for 1959 as well as 1960.

Saint76 Wed Aug 13, 2008 4:51 pm

I see it is listed as correct..But in my relatively short 5 years of interest in Double Cabs I have never seen a '59 in this color.. And the only '60 I've seen is the picture Everett posted in the gallery..

So does anyone actually know of any '59s that are this color originally...
Have any pics..
