Got a set of SLR'd 'n' reground T1 lifters from Rich today, well packed and offered to package them up differently (cheaper postage for me :lol: )to send overseas. A real pleasure to deal with and I'd buy from him again, anytime.

Had Rich rebuild two sets of heads for me. Turnaround time was lighting fast and quality of work was awesome. You can tell from his work he takes a lot of pride in what he does!
Rich kept me informed throughout the entire process and was quick to return emails/phone calls.
All my heads are going to go through the RIS shop before I run them. |

The ad was marked pending on January 19th.
Supposedly a money order was sent, but lost in the mail. Then another sent and finally received on January 29th.
Heads shipped out USPS Parcel Post on February 1st. Insured for $350.
Payment deposited February 2nd.
Heads delivered on Monday, February 8th.
I called William at 3:13pm EST today to try and reach an agreeable solution. No answer, left message for him to call me back. |

Just got a set of rebuilt 40 HP heads from Richard and I could not be happier. Excellent guy to work with. You actually learn stuff when you deal with Richard. He gives you all the options, both good and bad. He explains everything in meticulous detail. And yes, he drives air cooled VW's! He's very reasonable with his pricing as well. Thanks Richard! Sent my engine case to Rich for some machine work. Transaction was as smooth as his Align Bore finish. Kept in contact during the whole process and sent pics of the work during each stage. A true hobbyist.
My search for a VW Engine Machinist is over. I will seek Rich for all my future engine projects. |
