We love our slots. We have ET-IVs.

Here is a set on ebay as we speak. Shipping is a little pricey though. You'll have have to ask Obama for a bail out loan on the shipping.

Here are the slots on my brother's Minivolks.

I am kind of partial to the old slots myself. Even to the point that my current Baja build will receive the also. My next in line build, El Lobo, will have them too.

I have a set if anyone in interested. They are 15 x 10 rears and 14 x6 front. 4 3/4 chevy 5 bolt. I was gonna use them but I opted for torque II instead. They are are in need of tlc but the price could be right. I'm in Sarasota Florida and will be at the Quaker Steak and Lube show this weekend if someone wants them. I guess I should post and ad with some pix when I get home from work.

Let me know how much you want as I will be there as well.

Making some progress with my slots..I need a polishing kit to get the insides better by the lugs.

Maybe I'll try these fatties on the front..to look like this Imp below

EMPIImp69 Thu Apr 23, 2009 6:13 pm

Well this is pretty much how they look on the buggy..Im still planning on going with wider tires on the rear.

joescoolcustoms Thu Apr 23, 2009 9:30 pm

Wow Emp!

That looks big and beafy. I really did not think I would like big tires on the front of a buggy, but your stance has the look for them. I also like the fact the fronts are 4 lug.

Good job!

EMPIImp69 Fri Apr 24, 2009 5:37 am

Thanks Joe, now I need some center caps.

joescoolcustoms Fri Apr 24, 2009 6:07 am

The center caps I used where from some American Racing wheels a buddy purchased for his drag car (drag cars cannot run centercaps because inspection has to see rear axle to ensure it is a aftermarket stronger than stock axle).

They fit my Ansens. (plus free too) I think you can get them at most rim and tire shops.

Yea I have these old crusty AR ones for the fronts that I won't be using, but I need to find some to fit the backs which have a slightly smaller diameter hole. Here is how the tires look in the front:

VOLKSWAGNUT Sun May 30, 2010 7:20 pm

I am thinking about using a set of 14 x wide ( I think 8 inch ) slots for my buggy. When I bought my pieces and parts cars...the shortened swing axle frame had an old set of slots on it. I went with a lowered 70 CV joint suspension, 4 lug, 8 spoke American Eagles for initial trial run period (now almost 3 years). When tire time rolls around I am either switching to the slots with adapter plates or buying 15 inch Cragers. My question is what size tires are most of you running on the wide 14's. I want the 70's look.

I love those, I have a pair of 15x12 magnesium ones.

jspbtown Fri Jun 11, 2010 7:54 am

So what do you think the going rate for a set of 4 with tires?

My brother-in-law pulled these off his Camaro:

I offered him $300 and he jumped at it.

Good tires (Cooper in front BFGs in back), all 4 are 14" and the center caps are a little faded. One has a small amount of curb rash.

Am I stuck with them for a future project or do you think I can get that money for them?
