Will be tossing them when they are worn out.

Just a question??? Do you think wheel "love" directly correlates to owner's age??? For instance, slots and cragars do nothing for me, nor do 22" rims, but I am highly turned on by Centerlines and Weld wheels, which were popular in the 80's when I started driving.

Sometimes I read these posts and think to myself I must be hanging round with some old farts...LOL.    ( and you know I am just ribbing).

I am 43 by the way.......

I think I may have ended up with them. If my memory serves correct, you sold them to a buddy of mine maybe 2 to 3 years back.

warren??

Must not have been yours. The ones I have came from your area. Just do not see very many 4 lug 5.5's and thought my buddy got them from you.

I am 46, Centerlines and Slots are my hang up's.

(That almost sounds like an opening introduction to Wheeloholics Anonymous)

These had been glass beaded before my buddy got them. I have not yet polished them in this picture.

Have any of you ever drilled and tapped the little holes for the 5 ear centercaps? Im thinking of doing that for the ones I have.

Sure have. I use the center cap to mark the locations, center punch it, drill and tap.

Just go slow, you are dealing with a cast aluminum.

I am 43 by the way....... Some people want to make their buggies look period correct. Back in the day (late 60s/early 70s) it was mostly widened steelies, slot wheels and Cragar SS wheels. Here's some I have for sale in my classifieds if anyone is interested.

I'm also kind of partial torwards slots.
