Havnt tried it off-road or in the woods yet, but it worked GREAT going home from work last nite. Not that i didnt know my route, just wanted to try it, seemed verry fast but it did have my address 2 houses from where it should be. |

well I have the crossover and have been trying to figure it out but not to much luck as far as plotting off road trips. this last week week went out camping and i put some way points in the GPS that i wanted to go see, but I could'nt figure out how to plot corse. it just made a straght line from my camp site to the way piont, it would not high light the dirt road that i was supose to take.
I called up Magallen and did not sound to like they much more then I did. they keeped asking me to wait so they could ask some one else. but they did tell me that the crossover was not able plot/map routes.
overall I do like it alot and if I can figure out how to route my courses when I am off roading I'll be verry happy. |

thats my only hang up about getting a gps. if it doest do that then it's way over kill when compared to a compass and a map. |

You gotta get the software for it. You can make a route and load it into the GPSr. My cheap little hand held Garmin Legend can do it. I don't know of any software that will do off road trails like on an established street with turn by turn directions. |

I went on magallen and looked for software for it but none of it was for what I needed. it was for water and snow stuff. if anyone know of any aftermarket software let me know. |
