Thanks, everyone! :)
And that show looks great! But I am about 7 1/2 hours away from Shelby...
If I had a trailer to take it, I would! |

How is the clear holding up over that rust man?
Thinking about sanding and clearing mine (Pearl White, with rust 'creep' in the paint) and don't want it to get worse. |

Time to blow the dust off....
It's been a while! The 63 has sat since 2014. I moved away and left it behind, and life happened. 1 marriage, 2 kids, and 4 moves later- it's time to get my beloved Beetle back on the roads and enjoy it!
So where to start..
First, I had to get it rolling. What better excuse do you need to get new wheels?? I got Radars, which have been my all time favorite wheel. =P~
Now, to tackle the interior. I stripped completely first and started on the floor pans.
:!: Lower those expectations, because this is a low-budget build. So sheet metal and fiberglass is the fix, here.
That was this weekend- next will be the fiberglass.
Then sound deadening and a carpet kit!
Inside she is getting new carpet, seat covers, a DIY headliner (Low budget... remember?), and door panels. I went ahead and threw one on to see how it'll look. 8)
Stay tuned! Lots more coming. |

More progress!
Floors got a good layer of fiberglass on top:
Painted the interior (used Massey Ferguson gray that isn't close to stock anthracite, after all- but its  hardly noticeable inside) :
DIY Headliner in:
Carpet in!
Running boards:
Even the tailights got some love...
Seats in! This was way easier than I thought it would be.. :)
Interior all buttoned up!
Some beauty shots, also showcasing the new exhaust:
Even got a total brake overhaul..

Thank you!
At first I wanted the two-tone seats/panels but they were way more expensive... but now I think I am glad I got the solid color!
The headliner was an idea that came to me late one night and Amazon just so happened to have the perfect fabric. Its a foam backed vinyl that worked perfectly and ended up matching the seats/doors really well! |

Thanks! Sorry for the late reply.
I got the material on Amazon.
Just use some 3M Super 80 stick it up there! So far, so good!
Here are some recent pics. Just been enjoying it! Only new things added recently are just some "Porsche style" headlight lenses.

Went to BugaPaluza and had a great time!
Got home and dressed her up with some of the BugaPlauza goodies (bumpers, mats, tray)
