the picture of the car in the center has 43006 for it's plate. I wonder if that means they have determined that the Lithuanian car is number 6? |

The car was also featured in a series called American Muscle Car: The Last Stingray on SpeedTV which told the history of the last C-2 'Vette.
It was a great show about the last sting ray and the restoration.
Sold at barret jackson for $600,000
watch it on http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001LH1D16/ref=atv_dp_series?ie=UTF8&redirect=true
There should be a show on the vw38 ! |

The man has a W30 chassis ready to receive a body, so this title is secured! |

The car with the 6 on the numberplate is just an example how a 1938 looks like. After cleaning off all the paint and bondo, Christian found a hidden number inside the front-hood. This should be the body-number, but before we did it offiicial, Christian is trying to find out the meaning of this number. |

I am glued to this post. I check it every few hours. I am excited to see the progress. I am sure with enough research, an original picture of the car could be found, given the limited number of VW38's made. |

But I worry a bit if all can be done with that speed in a ´38 matching way. |

I'm completely awe struck at the progress that's been made! Is that chassis the 38's chassis? I got a little lost between that and it being on the Volga Chassis...Great work though! I even follow this thread when I'm at school  |

Didn't the 38's have 24 vents per side below the rear windows rather 21 per side? |
