Congrats on acquiring your '53 Kabriolett! You'll have funwith that!

Yours was produced a couple of months before I was... I found a '57 model year Kabriolett project about three decades ago, and I'm finally getting to the full restoration of it. Have fun with it!

Seats are pretty decent, not sure the material is original though, Birth certificate says beige leatherette but seats are more a brown colour

I have several pics of oval vert interiors but none in beige..
Can you post some pics of the seat covers and door panels, or what remains of them?
If the front seat covers are original, they should have the vent grommets on the seat backs (I think, not sure how early they go)
What color is the seat piping, and are the seats a solid color?

If the front seat covers are original, they should have the vent grommets on the seat backs (I think, not sure how early they go)
What color is the seat piping, and are the seats a solid color?

Will take some tomorrow, think it has the vent grommets still, they are solid colour[sort of light brown, and piping looks redish to me, door cards and roof hinge side cover looks like it has grey vinyl underneath the current cloth, cheers Richie

this should be k110 from a maroon '53 vert.

saw the same color on a black vert of the same year,with beadings of the same color.

Does anyone have any door and rear 1/4 outer window scrapers for sale? I have new seals but not the aluminium part, or can anyone point me in right direction where i can get some? thanks :)

factory spec in 1953 had black fender beading & running boards.

Agreed! That last photo with the beige top is a great color combo. Was the factory-provided maroon paint a solid or metal flake paint? Nice!
