dang.. those are nice! the only signs i ever see are the huge 20 ft volkswagen signs! lol i got no where for that! did they ever make a USED vw CARS sign for the dealers???

yes, here is one for sale on here. There was one in the uk as well recently, I understand these signs are still pretty large!

I got it out of an old independent foreign-car shop some years ago. The owner of the shop told me the sign was of 1955 vintage.

Here is one of my favorites.

It was made in the 30's by a German company named 'Boos u. Hahn' located in Ortenberg / Baden. It measures 64 x 90 cm.

The image is of a famous German motorcycle and race car driver Bernd Rosemeyer. He was a test driver for the German car company 'Auto Union'. Bernd Rosemeyer won most of the important races in 1936 and 1937. He was killed January 1938 during a test drive with a top speed 440 km/h.

Here is a nice video about Rosemeyer with some cool images. Keep in mind this is all pre-war stuff.
