2000cc

Google is your friend http://www.unitconversion.org/volume/liters-to-cubic-centimeters-conversion.html

I doubt you need to use the conversion link. Just think of 1600 as a 1.6 liter, a 2.0 liter engine as a 2000cc, a 1700 as a 1.7 liter engine and so forth. Damn Americans, why can't we convert to the metric system  (joking there). So the next time that american muscle 5.0 Mustang rolls past you.....well know that he has a 5000cc motor. Helps keep things in perspective.

Another thing to remember is that a cubic centimeter (cc) equals a milliliter (ml). 1000ml = 1l (liter). Therefore 2.0 liters = 2000 ml = 2000 cc.

Correct me if I'm wrong but there's some rounding being done in some cases.

A 1.9 may be a 1915cc and a 2054cc may be a 2.0 or 2.1 for example.

When did basic math become "high performance/engines/racing"? :?

And why is my header a 1 5/8" when the rest of my engine is metric?

Because it's easier to get SAE fractional tubing than metric tubing.

Why are your rims 15x5.5 ???

Why to people use 1/4" fuel hose when it should be 5.5mm?

why is the US still using the english system????????

Well the place you will find this is stock vw engines, non are the exact cc, for example a 1600 is a 1584 etc.

The reason move vw people talk in exact cc is to the well trained a way of knowing what stroke and bore you have.

For example if i said I had a 2L, that could be many engine combos, but if I had said a 2007cc most would know its a 78x90.5 etc

If your question is referring to the 2 liter Type IV engine used in late model bay window buses or in the 914 2.0, that displacement was 1971 cc (94mm bore x 71 mm stroke).
