As some of you know, I've been working on a new type of linkage for our cars for a couple of years. I posted this in another post, but, I think it needs its own topic. Well, after a long couple of weeks and as of Monday night, the twin pulley cable system is officially in patent pending status :D
I've passed out a few sets for testing and I have been getting positive feedback.
One of the cars is this beautiful Ghia....
with the twin cable setup installed on CB throttle bodies....
Look for it in a future Hot VW's and thanks Jason, for taking a chance :D
Here's a Weber carb setup installed in a type 4 powered bug...
Thanks Jon :D
As for availability for the Dell/Weber setups, I'm currently working on getting bids from a few shops to make this stuff in quantity. I wasn't to happy with the quotes that I have already received :(
I'm currently working on different types of carb/TB setups, other than the Dell/Weber IDF type. The project on the table right now, is a setup for the IDA folks. There may also be a DCNF version.
What other types of carbs/TB's are in need of better throttle control?? |

Have you considered adding a TPS sensor option? |

I'm really trying to keep it under $200, but, the quotes I've been getting to have these made here are telling me different. The ones I make in my basement are $170 for a complete setup, but they aren't anodized and it does take a little longer to get. |

I'm seriously going to look into it. I've been asked by a couple folks about tps. |

It looks like the adapter plate to mount the cables, goes between the carb and manifold? If so, what about gaskets?
Cool setup. I definately want one :D |

Cool setup. I definately want one :D
The carb does not have to be removed, just remove two nuts and install the bracket :D |

I am assuming from the photos that you cannot run those with a stock doghouse shroud and carbs since there is no room between the shroud and carbs for the linkage adapter plate, or does it not interfere with anything? |

The current setup will only work with shrouds without heat ducts, but,
I'm currently working on a setup that does work with stock housings :D |

I was planning to purchase the CSP center pull setup for my dells next month because of the excellent feedback I've read here on samba. I think I'll wait for some feedback on this setup. |
