I apologize if this is the inappropriate place to ask, or if there is a thread I've missed.
I have:
32 venturis
9164.4 emulsion tubes
142 main jets
180 air correctors
46 idles
35 pumps
150 needle valves
(There are also 80 "starter jets", don't know if these need changing too?)
I want to use these two DRLA 40s on a 2332 with 40mm intake valves.
I have been suggested:
36 venturis
9164.2 emulsion tubes
160 mains
180 air
60 idles
40 pumps
170 needle valves
Would this work?
Thought it best to seek advice before going out and buying a bunch of jets and such, as they are costly. |

one guy did a set of 40DRLAs on pg 15, but I suggest reading the WHOLE THING so you have a clue. |

Ok. Well I'm reading :D
Would be nice if you would care to point me in the right direction for a starting point though, you seem like a knowledgeable person. |

I did, pg 15
I'd start at
36mm venturis, .2 emulsions, 52.5 idle, 165 mains, 190 airs |

You need to specify also how your current set up runs, idle to wot and how your plugs look. Jetting is tricky. There are some ballpark formulas out there but nothing clear to the specific sizes. Its trial and error and figuring out what Your Engine likes. Off the top your idles look to be a bit small so far. CB performance sells the cheapest , new jets. Shipping fees not that great imo. John's recommendations are a great start, he knows his stuff. |
