Ahh the bigger whitewalls.

I got a smaller ring on the set of tires with it.. do you have a link to the sort pictured?

Nearly killed my budget on the door handles alone already :)

Haha...the classic whitewalls will certainly finish off your budget...just started this topic last week: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=628402

I have the Firestone Bias Ply wide whites...for UK buyers Vintage Tyres in Beaulieu and North Hants Tyres in Aldershot stock them, they are 5.60-15.

Very nice Tires. I picture shipping costs to the UK and cringe a bit.. maybe next trip over my family will agree that carrying a tire each in our cases is better than clothes?

Vintage Tyres here in the UK will offer you free carriage within mainland Britain if you ask nicely...

North Hants Tyres will probably price match...

I think John was truly referring to the chrome (or SS) "beauty rings" on the wheels, not the white walls................

Correct...I'm a stock man so I like the early Lemmertz Beauty Rings and prefer the chromed side trim whatever the style of Ghia. I'm not sure wide whites look good on white Ghias.

Just a couple of photos of my 69' coupe. Been in storage for a while. Have been thinking of bring it back out. Need to find a new fuel tank.

Ahhh ok. Yes- didn't go exactly stock on this one. We have a few nods to "Cal Look" in the final result

Actually I don't think I've kept that a secret Darrel...although it has to be genuine patina.

Nothing worse than faux patina and rusty neglect is not patina either
