Type 2s 1950-1979
gates open at 8am
Free admission for spectators,
$5 to show, includes swap if you are in an AC type 2.
$15 to swap if you are not in an AirCooled type 2, truck and trailers are welcome.

Food, beverages, delicious milkshakes and deserts available at Mattie's Diner located on site.
Restroom facilities will be available.

Rules:
Please no skateboards, scooters, loud music, burnouts or booze on show grounds. Any dogs must be leashed and the owner must clean p after it. No aggressive dogs!

Weekend schedule includes but is not limited to:
~Friday, Monkeynut VW open house party,5pm - ??
~Saturday, Charlotte Transporter show #8
~Saturday night, Camp at the track, good time camping at the Piedmont drag strip , Greensboro NC
~Sunday, Big Bug Shoot out VW show,Swap meet and drag racing, Piedmont drag strip, Greensboro NC

Can you tell me about camping on Friday night. Any camp grounds close by?

You can "camp" at the shop the night before. There is a big party, several people stay in their busses in front of the shop.

if "camping" at the shop on Friday isnt your cup of tea there is usually a small campout over at Kings mountain that some folks have had in years past. Im sure when the date gets closer that will be announced. otherwise there are several state and national parks that anyone should feel free to start a campout event.
