Really great picture!
Fleet owners such as BundesPost has played an important role in the reintroduction in January 1967 of the "1200", as the "basic" beetle was named from then on.
Collecting information about standard models, I found very interesting the Standard beetle in force to ADAC starting from the end of 1962.

I'm glad you posted that picture, most people won't believe you if you say some VW's could come with black fender beading.

I have never seen what looks like police cars with the German Automobile club logo on front!!
Here is a picture of my standard, note the bumpers which were specified to be able to bring the car into U.S.A. those are the original bumpers and chrome.

Actually, the ADAC cars were not exactly police cars with a logo on front. The cars were substantially modified to the purpose to provide first assistance to drivers in difficulties in German motorways. The services provided were not simply related to mechanical problems; the ADAC personnel were also trained to provide first aid in case of accidents and for other situations of emergency, including assistance in case of childbirth ….
They works in very difficult conditions, and were nicknamed the “Angel of Road”.
The first batch on ADAC Standard was delivered at the end on 1962 and had different specifications. In the picture I posted before, we can observe that the car 726 was fitted with two electric sockets on the right rear quarter to permit the recharging of the battery from the outside. The sockets also permit to start cars with flat batteries, both 6V and 12 V.
"Arzt gesucht" means "Doctor sought".

Here is a close up of some original seat covers from a gulf blue canadian custom from another thread. Seems to be the same as some euro deluxes as well.

Just saw this in another thread and it seems there was a factory pin strip on euro standards where the chrome would be on exports.

Here in Kanada, the grail is Canadian custom zwitter sunroof. None exist as far as I know... but if you look at the pic of the cars arriving in Toronto in '52 there appears to be one in the lower left corner.
The only known '53 Canadian custom sunroof:
