A publicity photo by Karmann, taken 75 years ago on the Marktplatz in front of the Rathaus (Town hall) in Osnabrück, close to the factory. These were some of the first production 4-seater cabriolet versions of the Beetle. A total of 331,847 Beetle Cabriolets would be produced over the next thirty years until production of the model ended on 10 January 1980.

Yes more Hebs, what I just found out is that 15 Type 14a cars were built at Karmann. Anyone know which ones they are? Guessing the last cars built?

The last Karmann Beetle Cabriolet
45 years ago today on January 10, 1980, the last ever air-cooled Beetle Cabriolet rolled off the production line at the Karmann factory in Osnabrück. It was also the last Beetle to be built in Germany. The car was shipped to Boston, Massachusetts, in the United States for sale to a very lucky customer.
A total of 331,847 Beetle Cabriolets were produced during the model’s thirty years and six months production life.

Anyone know the exact part number for the oval verts shown? Ive found in the later parts books 151800421E for 61-64, 151800421M for 65 up primer with no fenders.

Guessing on break down:

thru 52
53-55
56-57
58-60

Different for export or domestic?
