Tell me about it....It should be on the road this weekend! I am still waiting on my armrests and front door panels to be done. I promised not to drive it without it being 100% but this is just crazy. Its almost like its a trophy as opposed to a car; not supposed to be that way.

notchboy Mon Nov 19, 2012 9:16 am

Eh? No trophy yet

More like an expensive paper weight in the garage.

If things don't work out the way I expect, it will be a boat anchor

I have been asked by almost everyone I know so here is a small update. Although I had a some serious buyers, I did NOT let the car go. It is still in my garage where is shall remain. I havent done any work to it but I will work towards completion by the end of March.

Glad to hear you still have it Kevin. Looking forward to seeing it at this year's VW Classic!

Follow through, and if in the end you are a biotch like me and have to let it go, then do it. Having had it, enjoy it for a bit and passing it on is 90% more of what most get to do.

People use the term "flipper" like its a bad thing lol  . I don't think it is a "flip car though if you build it.

I am about keeping the main-thing the main-thing. Although I love my cars, I don't love them as much I my family or their well-being

You cant take them with you when you die. Better to let some one else enjoy things as much as you have.

Isnt there a show about keeping things, collecting things and not letting go?

Oh "Hoarders"

This has been great reading for me. Just picked up the unaltered '64 that came up for sale here Friday. Still trying to decide if I want to drop it off at the body shop, or just get it running and drive as is.
