I just ordered my copy on CD... and the T shirt... better prices at the Calexico shop than at Amazon

Are you doing a world tour? Please tell my you are coming to Auckland or maybe Sydney!

Thanks so much for your support Nicholas. We of course would love to tour NZ AUS it just depends on record sales there, so tell all your friends to buy the record!! Thanks again.

After 12 years I took my wheel skin off because it was wearing through… cleaned up the wheel, and gave it a coat of clear…

You're a braver man than I John. What if it were, like mine possibly, the only thing holding the wheel together? 8-[

I hear you John… that’s why I put some clear coat on… it actually looks and feels really nice like this, nice change. I was thinking if I go with a wheel skin again I might go blue.

…and thanks Antoine, maybe someday I’ll be able to do a restoration, if so I’ll for sure reference your thread.

Installed this really nice reproduction emblem from Sam [email protected]

The old repop that I got from the classifieds here over ten years ago looks pretty nice in the garage.

just for the record, wanted to post my zertifikat the museum sent to me to correct the earlier one that wasn't for my car.

Surprising country of destination, depending on the specific Mcode options for the USA

Yep Sam does some good stuff. Not seen that repro badge in real life but it looks like it would be difficult to tell from an original. When you see what people are asking for an original €50 for the repro is a good price.

Looks like it was a tourist delivery car. Delivered in France but with US spec items. Wonder if it was a diplomat or military or businessman who ordered it there, used it then brought it home. Cool history.

I wondered that myself… I figured it must’ve been a US soldier who ordered it, drove it around Europe, then shipped it home…the man I bought it from was the second owner, he got in 1960.

Lovely shot! Absolutely love the simple lines, and the rough paint on yours accentuates the minimalist quality of these early cars.
