Loved the new location. Even though I didnt stay long I did get a decent amount of pictures of all the VW's. It was a good turn out as well.
Wish I was going to Farmington today but wont be able to make it. To everyone that is going be careful and have a safe trip.
P.S. - If anyone has Instagram, I did do a live feed of the CTS show yesterday (I did not use all the pictures I took either). My Instagram name is Conoven. Or search for #monkeynutvw on Instagram. |

Well I made there and back with not one problem minus traffic on I85. I made it a very short weekend since I have not been home much lately. I decided to skip the Harper party and Farmington but I had a great time at CTS. The farm was cool and not crammed, the weather was awesome, I got to see some friends I haven't seen in a few years and meet some new ones.
I was reminded how crappy it is driving a lowered, smelly loud bus long distance again but I survived. It was worth it. |

| Really enjoyed CTS (really like the new venue) and the hospitality at Monkeynut Friday! You have a really great community going, thanks to Paul & Mary, Gary, Jake, Brian, Colby, Chris, and many others who made me feel welcome, even though I don't have a bus... at the moment. Pedro |

Another 1,200 trouble free miles on the Panel. Got home a few hours ago. Great weekend for sure. Awesome to meet some new people and put faces to names.
I was once again reminded how sweet it is to roll a properly lowered Bus for a relatively long distance. Lots of waves, honking horns, picture taking and only a few peace signs, which is a good thing... because that gets annoying
A huge "Thank You" to the Monkey Nut family! Takes a lot of work to make an Open House and a full on show happen and run well. Another job well done. The new show venue is definitely a big step up up from the previous.
Looking forward to CTS #10! |

Just rolled home. I85 sucks with totality. It's VA 360 or nothing next time.
Thanks Jake, Bryan, Regina, Colby, and the entire Monkeynut team.
Another fantastic CTS, and really like the farm location.
The owner sure seemed pleased, which bodes well for future shows.
Farmington was good, but we couldn't stay long.
That candy apple red chopped Baja beetle was astounding! |

It sounds like everyone made it home safe which is a fantastic thing. Looking forward to the next big bash. I hope to see everyone down my my at Bulli in a few months. |

| Another great CTS weekend, thanks to the monkey nut crew, for making us feel right at home, and for putting on such a great event, the farm ruled. I'll put some pictures up as soon as I get to a real computer, we stayed in Baltimore for the night after stopping to have dinner with our friend Dan and Nick (because apparently we didn't have enough of him all weekend) we'll resume today. The transmission mount from Glenn's lumber emporium looks like a permanent solution. |

| Huge thanks to everyone that came out, especially those who volunteered, and provided food Friday night. The farm seemed to be a good change and hopefully we can make it work in the coming years. Hopefully everyone has/had a safe trip home and we'll see you next year! |

Awesome time! People have been telling me to go to this show forever, not sure why I didn't go sooner. Kudos to the monkeynut crew.
I'm exhausted and currently sitting at work at my desk trying to pick metal shards out of my finger I got from a nail in Gibbs' tire; it is much less fun than the last 3 days. |

Wow! What a weekend! We had a great turn out at CTS 9, and the new venue seemed to be a huge hit. Farmer Hodges has said that he is open to hosting another CTS, possibly even adding some camping next year. He was pleased to see that we respected the property, kept things clean, and we were a good fit for his family friendly farm. He did apologize for the late food. The food vendor he had arranged backed out the day of the event, and he scrambled together what he had that morning for us. He does have a different plan for the next event.
Thank you goes out to the participants who made it such a great show.
We couldn't have done it without a lot of support from our friends and family. As we all know it takes a lot of help to make things go smoothly.
Jake, Bryan, Colby and I worked extra hard scouting and planning this year, but we aren't the only ones who help make this event a success. I'd like to thank Bill Rudy for his contributions and help promoting the event all over Charlotte's media, Joe & Theresa S. for their constant support, John Pickens for the very tasty food and help at the party, Matt & Brittni, Shane, Kathy Jacobs, Lee, Andrew S., Adam S. for bringing the Tetanus award, Duncan & Connor for the new bike addition, and probably even more that I am forgetting.
I will post up some pics of the winners soon. Thanks again to Matt & Brittni for taking them.
Now if we could only find that lost skydiver..... |
