50mm would probably be fine for a 1641. If you got a big cam, then you might want to rethink doing a map based FI because the lack of vacuum will make it hard to tune. I think I was using 30lb injectors, but I forget. The motor ran fairly well with the small 50mm throttle body and engle 120 cam. Because of the smaller throttle body, I was able to pull some vacuum at idle to help with tuning. I couldn't advance the timing too much at lower RPM because it would start to ping, but once dialed in, there was a lot of torque. |

I definitely need to use a Map based program due to the automatic transmission. I need to be able to control fuel delivery right off the hit to avoid bogging the car because I can't get my launch rpms up high enough with the current reworked torque converter. I know I'll have to play with timing a lot in order to get this car to move smoothly within the first 60'. I feel being able to program the ECU via sensor input and data logging will be a lot better than the failures I've had with different carburetor setups that cannot self adjust in real time race conditions. Yes, I've got a challenge ahead.
