Well since you replied so nice to my childish reply I will try to share my solution, it is not so innovating but it works.
(I am not that good in English)
As you I wanted to cool the heads better with more oil so I did the HVX mod, but since i use those normal performance rockers (those big flat type) the oil goes from the pushrod and just into the rocker bushing.

Since I also set the rocker clearance to a tight setting there is a small amount of circulations.
I didn't want to weaken the pushrods and I wanted the oil to go on the spring and the valve stem, and also wanted more circulation in the bushings.
So i drilled a small hole from the bushing out so it squirts straight on the top of the valve spring.

Works good and doesn't weaken any parts.
I tried to find a picture but sadly had forgotten to take one.
Did you ever get a photo of the set up you did?

But I found some pics from last year of the tranny brace that Ray installed. He calls them "rabbit ears" and he's done this for decades. I can't use a typical traction bar because when I "Cal Looked" the car back in 1978, the fenders were welded to the aprons in front and back. The beading was removed from the body at that seam for a smooth look for shows. It would crack there if I braced the trans to the body. So, here's what I have:

If you watch the video of me at Bugorama a few pages back, you can see how I was babying it. But with this much power, it was time. When this tranny's done, and now that it's braced, I got a tach and a helmet... we'll finally see what this motor can do this year. :D

Gotta LOVE LOVE LOVE the determination to ignore the naysayers and make that center mount shroud work for it's intended application! Thats why some were running 10 second n/a quarter miles in the 1960s and 70s and the rest of us were drueling in the grandstands. AWESOME THREAD!

Am I being daft? How do those rabbit ears work?
Bolted to the gearbox right where the engine case spigot goes...
How was the noise that created?

Good Question. A set-up like that would work perfect on one of my builds. Was wondering how the engine bolts to the trans. Looked like Ray was handy with the grinder and knew how to work it thats for sure!!

How was the noise that created? I wonder about that too... Looks like they would be somewhat in the way of seating the engine to the gearbox. And to even get the flywheel past them.

Same idea as a girdle, I suppose. This is my first to see them rabbits. Hey, it they work why not?

You can't really see it but maybe there tweaked a little and pertrude to the fan shroud side of the engine bolt heads... That is how I did my Street Rail.. RB

The rabbit ears are discussed on pg 1 of the new tranny build thread. what we are seeing in the pic is just a mock up. The bottom part of the rabbit ears go on "AFTER" the motor is bolted on. I Like!!

Wow I just read the whole thread start to finish didn’t watch all the videos just a couple of the drives, and it reads like a movie....I even felt a lump in my throat when I read the RIP. Thanks for sharing and documenting this build it was fantastic!
