An incredibly inspirational effort. Congratulations.

martin that is a truly beautiful car.

one question, where did you buy the carpeted rear cargo mat?

Erik G Thu Oct 13, 2011 9:34 am

nice! an early sunroof square is one of the few on my keepers list once I find one. My sunroof notch was cool but I'm more of a squareback guy myself. Anyone know if Corey still has his red 64 sunroof sqare? Guess I need to ask him

Since I asked for German wool carpet, the upholstery guy used all the material and made me a rear cargo mat. I do have the rubber mat under though. Nice and quiet engine compartment.

That is one beautiful car. Very nice work!

Great job, Martin. Are you still planning on building a motor using NOS parts?

J/k Looks beautiful.

I hear ya. That was my thought as well. I'm sure most of the OE paint would have even buffed up.

However, it looks MUCH BETTER painted and compleely gone thru. Now that car should go across country without any issues, and still be around for another 40 years. 8) Congrats, you deserve a beer for ALL of your hard work.

Yeah, but they won't be NOS like the ones he has in there.

Maybe.... depends on the rubber he used. Everything repopped now lasts maybe year.

If there's one thing Martin didn't do, it's chimp out. Remember, he's been hoarding parts for almost 30 years to throw at this car.

It's beautiful, congrats!

Thanks everyone, though there are still small details that need to be finished, I couldn't wait to show you guys what my car looked like. I know it is no way a perfect car like I would have wanted, but I like it. I wish I was more mechanically inclined and have done a Bert or Brent build, but then I would have not finished the car before I was 50. If I can help anyone with either pics or how thing go back into the car, I am always glad to help., especially sunroof work, I think i got the hang of it.

Hey...I never saw a rear bumper or hubcaps, either! :x

Other than that... when are you delivering it, Martin? :D

there! rear Bumper is on!

and this is what you'll see in the night if you follow me

as far as the hubcaps, it breaks my heart to install these NOS babies

Bobnotch I just had a Cold Modelo Especial in the bottle in your honor my friend!

Ataaraxia I think I am just going to enjoy driving this little wagon with the wife and kids and I'll lurk here once in a while to see how other's projects are coming along. can't wait to see yours all done.

E's had a single side draft engine- "E" for "Economy"- N running gear with the "S" trim package. Also, your NOS hub caps are incorrect: '64 and on had "outies", not "innies".

All together now: "Tram is an ass."

But seriously- beautiful!
