Patrick continues to plug along on his bus. Interior panels are almost done and I dropped off the canvas sunroof cover and some headliner material on Friday. Here's some pics from last week:

And some from Friday:

The safari frames appear to be sort of a matte black. Are they going to stay that color? Just curious.

i think that's pretty cool. it looks like window rubber but they are safaris. same with the popout windows.

That's exactly it. We did the same thing on my bus.

Saw the bus in person the other day dropping a part for Patrick.

He plans to cruise it out to the June Jitter Bug show next weekend.

Almost done!!!

Update:

I 'splitified' Patricks middle seat from a bay. Patrick and Gary then got crazy with a shower rod and fiberglass for the arm rest:

(Please, if you don't have anything positive to say, then go troll another thread)

Nice work, guys.

I'm really dig'n the neutral color scheme. The different tones work well together.

The armrest is a nice touch, I like it a lot.

This bus has come a long way man...well done. =D>

I don't see why more guys don't alter fat chick middles to make them look like split middles given the price of the real thing. That one doesn't look bad. I think overall the bus presents well: custom but done tastefully.

^^^I absolutely love this mod. This is the real world when building these cars. You make what you don't have and I think it turned out awesome. Thanks for sharing. I try to do the same in my build threads (share). Cheers and can't wait to see it on the road. Ok, via the Samba. :? :D

petevdub Mon Jun 17, 2013 7:15 pm

^^^ hold on a sec, ummm what has happened to my armrest?

Did you bury it in fiberglass and resin?

Will I be getting it back?
