Thank you. We all stand on each other's shoulders. Just yesterday some of Everett's reference pictures (hosted here) of a bd cargo floor helped me out. And before that, some of Florian's detail pictures on his Swamp thread.

I'd use this old post to help me.
I'm restoring a June 53 barndoor, I have removed brake, cylinder are 19mm front and rear... From what I know on bug there is a ratio to follow to have correct brake balance, I guess that's the same for barndoor?
Then what's correct cylinder size front and rear? I've heard all 22mm, but from what I've read there it's 22 front 19 rear? 🤔
Master cylinder is well same as bug 19mm?

22mm front (Barndoor only)
19mm rear (Same as oval window front)
19mm master cylinder, can use replacement Porsche 356 master cylinder

My understanding is the Beetle 19mm one is different and wrong but I don't have the exact details

All BD have 22 front and 19mm rear, no difference from 50 to 55?

I'm 100% sure the Porsche master cylinder works because I know Greg (campingbox) said he has used it at least once and I trust him.

The Master cylinder is not the same from 50-55 though.
From earlier in the thread:

My copy only lists the 19mm master cylinder so I don't know if there is any wheel cylinder differences for the super early Barndoor Buses that match up with the 22.2mm master cylinder.

The problem with beetle vs BD bus m/c is that the bug uses a rubber seal for the (remote) brake reservoir can. the rubber seal simply plugs in top of the m/c and then the feed line is popped in the rubber.
BD and later bus uses a bolt on, Aluminium brake fluid reservoir, which is fastened with a hollow hex screw from inside the can. so the bus m/c has threads in the top feeder boss, whereas the beetle has just a stepped round recess. I don't know if this could be tapped for proper metric threads.
If you are not going for a 100% correct restoration you could as well use the bug m/c and use a remote reservoir can inside the front panel, much like a 1968 T2a ( but they use dual circuit brakes, which could be an option if you are looking for safety).
