I've only watched two of the episodes but this looks to be a great series on a full resto of a Syncro Westy Mosaic. I didn't know that the Mosaic tops came with an insert to flatten the roof bed area.

Nice to see that they change the hoses & fuel lines almost immediately. It's also amazing to see what a thorough clean can do! Thanks for the heads up.

Just finished all of the episodes they've completed so far. Their attention to detail is astonishing.

I don't know why they didn't insulate the floor and the stereo they installed looks like garbage. Other than that, amazing.

It was crazy the difference washing the van made! Honestly, after a wash it was in better looking shape than a lot of vans I've seen, mine included. And then they got to work!

What front bumper is that? Looks slightly different from all the ones I can think of off the top of my head.

This one was a reallllllllly fun adventure. We just got back from another 1000 mile road trip with THIS bus, brought back to life just four months ago!

First; Go Banana!! Woooooot!!

Second, That Bus driver surely knew he was going to be needing a tow. Obviously wanting to get his own 'channel' some 'love' and Matt's team was probably his primary target for all that stuff, kuz, well, who doesn't want to have (the Young but bearded) Santa Claus come pull them out?

My toughts were the same watching the vid. It looked like the vanagonist was more into filming than steering.

FYI that is tie down spot, not a tow hitch. And I think it's a tie down spot that is still easily damaged. In this case, there wasn't a whole lot of tugging on that van and it rolled easily up the hill. But if you're actually stuck and need to use a snatch rope or something you'll damage your van.

See this thread.

It didn't really happen if you didn't "vlog" about it!

*some folks

I've been watching off-road recovery and rotator channels for several years now... I'm sure others have as well. Now that a Vanagon has appeared on MORR, I'm waiting for Rory in Moab (aka Trailmater) to rescue one as well... hopefully, not my own.😬🤭

I'm impressed on how much Matt seemed know about Vanagons. Also if you watch his channel regularly I've noticed the neighboring "yard" next to their shop has a couple of old VWs in it...

In one of the old videos it was mentioned that the neighboring paint shop guy is specialized in restoring VWs for a long time.
I think it was around the Morrvair build when they got painted it there.

And he was in his teens when the Vanagons were still sold new at dealerships (He mentioned recently that he is over 50)
