probably around 7000 rpm. i have a 76X94 with a 130 cam and 42x37.5 heads |

Throw the points away, and install a compufire pick up module.

i just didnt want to spend a lot of money on it because i still need a lot of other parts for the restoration. and if i can save some money, points are good enough right now. just want to know what a good set of points i should run. |

Ok finish the car, drive it with points but keep the revs down till you can afford the replacement module. Easy solution |

Look for a set of Bosch OEM points, change out to the electronics if the points are not getting the job done.
I have had engines up to 7000rpm with the OEM points, does not mean it was the "best" but it did work. |

To answer your question the Bosch "Tiger tail" Points are the performance version noted by the white striped black wire on the points. They are known to handle 6000+
