Hi! Looking at some JPM dyno days videos I learned about the MS250 and the MS330!
Any information and aplications on those? :twisted:

I am using JPM's MS230 heads and one of their Raptor camshaft kits (which are much easier on the valve train). Having exchanged several emails with Johannes over the last two years, I can say that he definitely thinks outside the box and is undertaking quite a bit of testing of new products.

How often it get driven on the streets? Or a link where you had posted

2332 cc, 10.7:1 CR, IDA's, 91/94 octane pump fuel, stock Beetle, 2,030 lb with driver, runs high 12's in 1/4-mile (no burnout or slicks, just DOT drag radials). Yes, I drive it pretty much every day, except in the winter months (sand & road salt are nasty where I live).

Just to clarify, the key thing with the JPM heads is the ten cooling fins, which allows for true street driving. Not sure that the ports are necessarily much better than other race heads, but very streetable with stock doghouse cooling system.

Great! Thanks Neil for the details. Mr Persson answered me that the MS250 have more cfm as the name implies and are designed for cars with more strip than street. The MS330 are all out drag race heads. Recomend me the MS230 if my car is mostly street. :twisted:

You need to be above approx 210 hp to really take advantage of them. The 230íes perform well in the 215 - 240 hp range. We have seen a couple hit 245 hp. But of course the higher performance the less real street they are.

My ride have a 2213 Berg engine which I am happy. Had not been dynoed but had seen very,very similar Berg engine with 190hp. Obviuosly this is just crude extrapolation. Had been toying with the idea of Nickies and MS230! :twisted:

What CC are the engine in the 215/240hp range?

The 1914 is a race Engine mainly. The others are 2275' 2332 and 2386 cc.

Still not cheap, but when you consider the features that are included in the JPM heads (springs, retainers, superior cooling, etc) it's not too bad.

Compare to Tim's Signature heads for £1,145, top of the line Comp Elim's at £1,285 (with similar features).

the price listed shows 22,500 for a set of heads....that works out to 3540 us dollars.... is that right ?

at 4995 sek for a cam that's 785.91 us ???

At today's exchange rate that would be $2,811USD.

Same with the camshaft and matching lifter set: take 75% of 4995SEK would be 3746 SEK, which would be $594USD.
