Some of yall may know this bus. It was the former PLF high roof that was really well known in California for being at the shows and them using it as their bus to sell their products out of it. As many of yall know a semi truck on the highway hit it, did some flips and twists then slid on its side for a while then came to rest via a tree. All this from the story I was told. Well I bought it and have spent the past couple years restoring it. All work was performed at my shop by myself and generous help from all my friends over the years.

This is the build thread for that bus.

The bus will make its show début at Bulli Brigade this year.

Ill try to post the pictures best I can in chronological order and answer questions best I can however I'm really going to let the pictures do the talking.

Wow...big job, but hats off to you for taking it on. High-roofs are cool. Looking forward to seeing this rebuild.

Whats REALLY weird is I think I now own that trailer. Judging by some additions I can see and Arizona plates, It is identical to mine. I bought it off from a guy off craigslist, Non vw realated ad/

About time Jason...you're a long time lurker on here and never post. You've got quality work bro, glad my DC is in good hands. Looking forward to seeing more of this thread. Seen this thing in person and its pretty sick!

What the? Where the hell's the rest of the pictures? You can't do a build thread on a bus that's finished and only show the before pics. Rookie. :D

Jason, glad to see that your still around. I have been wondering if you were still at it. You did a DC of mine about 8 years back (wish I would have kept it!) You lowered it all of the way around and put on 4 wheel Porsch disks for me. Ran like a champ. Anyhow, good to see your still at it, try to get something out to the Daytona show on Saturday if you can.

thanks everyone for the kind words. im still debating on uploading all of the photos fro this build on to photobucket or here in the gallery. plus im trying to put 300+ pictures from the last 4 years in chronological order like i said. so bear with me. ill upload a grip more tonight. maybe even start posting some of the metal work. right now im still sorting "wrecked" and "tear down" 8) 8)

If you could download the images to the Samba that would be great. I have seen too many formerly great posts with missing images because the link with Photobucket was severed. When they are added to the Samba they are here for life.

Awesome, I can't wait to see it. I had no idea that bus was still around and was getting restored.

It would be sweet if we could get a highroof group photo this year at BB. Chadd?
