And the saga of The Crappy EMPI Manifolds continue. Got finished setting up the motor and put the carbs on the manifolds. Ehhhh they look skewed in towards motor (leaning). Scratched head and began tuning the carbs. Sound great, No pops, No air leaks, just smooth idle without much adjustment.
Start setting up the linkage as per instructions. The carb linkage sockets wont fit into the balls on the adjusting arm. The adjusting arm is 1/2 inch too long with the socket adjusters screwed all the way in on the rod. Sent Jeff a Email this morning about this latest development. |

This is some pics I took of the issues and ongoing problems I'm having with manifolds and linkage. To add to the last photo with level on top of carb, That is the passenger side carb. The bus has a flat tire on rear drivers side so it actually looks better than what it is. |
