Love the square design of these Mountainsmith packs. 4 fit rather nicely under the folded down bed in my 87 Westy. One for me. 3 for the wife. Hehehe.

One was perfect for me for 4 day camping trip.

Been using ours for at least 4 years. Better than tubs, luggage or grocery bags! (Tried all of them, too!)

Very handy!

They look great for hauling rectangular stuff!

Interesting.

I'm about to build a bed platform in my Sprinter. How high is the bottom of the Vanagon Westy bed? Maybe I could build in a space to use the Mountain Smith bags for storage.

They are great. depending on how many on / how long a trip ... 2, 3, or all 4 come along. As they are lined and zip up; one comes back with the 'needs laundry done' stuff.
They also work well keeping things organised in the back of a westy without being so tall they block (minimal) rear mirror view.
Don't leave home without them.

Cheers.

Wow! You rock!

They were on sale for 25% off, and even then I could still use the 30% coupon code. Price went down to $52 for the 4 cube with case, $62 delivered to my door. :D :D :D

I have something very similar that I paid about $20 for from another manufacturer, Outdoor brand. Despite the cheap price on ebay, it's very well made and sturdy.

Same as this item on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Camping-Organizer-Cubes-Ca...272wt_1362

Just ordered the 3 pack!
Thank you for the heads up.
With space at a premium organization is key!

I've posted elsewhere, but here it is again.... The carrier that sometimes comes with the 3-cube set was born to haul firewood.

I'm all for competition in the market place. Except when a product is an obvious and direct ripoff/clone of a product with the intent to undercut the price and quality.

Those bags look like the equivalent of a fake Rolex. Trying to copy the logo, color, style, everything! Why not try to compete with your own version of the product?

PDXWesty Fri Jun 13, 2014 8:58 am

How do you know it wasn't the other way around? I'm also not sure why that would even bother you. You think Thule or Yakima were the first to come up with a roof rack? It's all about choices and market competition. You think Mountainsmith doesn't manufacture in Asia as well? A little too much righteousness there for me on that one.

Um...yeah....I'm sure Mountian Smith copied that "almost looks like an anvil" on the knockoff products logo too

While Yakima and Thule were not the first to make roof racks, they were the first to offer quality racks with a much larger selection of fitment and accessories that previous rack makers.

I never made a single comment or judgement about where Mountian Smith manufactures. But I'm glad that you took it upon yourself to ASSume that I was making a "righteous" statement about that to toss in an insult.

As already stated, competition is one thing, making a carbon copy to bank off another brand name is another. This is like copying the test answers off the kid next to you in class word for word. Support innovation and hard work, not cheating.

No, they are the equivalent of an expensive set of cardboard boxes - which is what I use.

And even better -- cardboard boxes are BEIGE!
