Sorry for the long delay. Finally got most of the pics from bURNINGvAN 2022 compiled on a single album. Will update as more pics come in. There are 412 pics and 2 short videos at the end now. The album is set for ‘public viewing’. You shouldn’t need a Facebook account to see them. PM me, should you have trouble viewing the pics.

That event was 4 months ago. The next one will not be until January 2023. I will post here once we’ve settled the date for next year. You only need to Google “Beach Chalet Bistro Ocean Beach San Francisco”. That should give you proper GPS directions to where we hold the event.

I know it was four months ago.
I have been to Buses By the Bridge many years and was looking for a different event on my way to Baja California. I'll keep an ear to TheSamba, the closer it gets. See you then!

Mike Miller was supposed to post this coming year’s event but apparently not yet,

bURNINGvAN will be on its 20th year this coming January 15th. Same place. Same time. Ocean Beach in San Francisco across the street from the Beach Chalet Bistro

Be forewarned that the west side of the Great Highway from Daly City is now closed to vehicular traffic indefinitely. Fastest way to get over from the south will likely be through Sunset Blvd.

The announcement thread is locked by the mods. Only they can change the date next to the event link. I do see they still have last year’s date. Not sure when they will make that change. At least the header to this now carries the upcoming date.

Morning all. I see that there is a date for 2024 now.

Is this event only open to Vanagons or are other buses welcome too? I acquired a '65 a little over a year ago and am finally looking to get it out more. I'm not yet familiar with the VW events in the Bay Area.

Show up, nobody will give you problems. There are usually other model vans around.

I haven't found anything on FB. The date is listed in thread title for this thread and seems to get updated once a year.

The next atmospheric river is timed to hit festivities.
We're looking at 1.5" rain and a bit of wind on Sunday.

Are we still on, or has it been rescheduled?
I'm still game, but I suspect turnout will be low.
