Once upon a time, a cardboard cut-out or an effigy of a Vanagon ended up in the bonfire. Then bits of VW magnesium engine cases in the flames started painting the beach in white light. More recently, people forgot about the fire. Save the air day coincided with BV. With Park Rangers enforcing a no burn policy for the past two BV's, incendiary activities have been deferred.
Whos bringing the LP fire pit? |

Funny, Told my son that his mom and I are attending this event and he said "Dad, did you know the original Burning Man started at Baker Beach?" which is right across the street as to where he lives.
Small world. I'm sure most of you guys and girls knew this.....but not me  |

You should be fine, folks roll in at all sorts of times & the lot is rather big...
The warmer it is, the busier it is at the beach...
See ya'll next weekend! :van_brown: |

Must be global warming.🔥
When we first started BV, it was almost always freezing cold. Which is the reason why we started building bonfires. The past 2-3 years have been warm. Sometimes, it's downright HOT! Luckily, this is San Francisco. A chill can set in very quickly. Warm of not, bring a jacket, just in case. |

Wouldn't be a bad idea to run it a bit like a swap meet too, I have some spare and odd parts I'd like to part with. No smoked salmon here but I still remember Jon Slider's grilled chicken some two or three years ago. |

I'm delivering SA parts from the FB Vanagon Owners Group "group buy". Plus a few other parts for fellow Vanagoners. We do have to keep things semi stealthy. In other words, you can lay parts on tarp on the ground swap meet style. This is a public parking lot patrolled all day by the US Park Rangers all day. Keep that in mind and it should be ok. |

If anyone happens to have a driver's front turn signal and a passenger rear tail light, I need both. Until yesterday, I just needed the tail light, but whilst replacing the worn out bulb holders I dropped the housing and broke it. Argh! I have something I have to be to in half moon bay around 3, so I'll just be hanging for a couple of hours... |

Also, if anyone could use a free set of long plastic cooling pipes, I'll grab them from my storage space. They seem to be in good shape and have just been sitting since I put in the stainless. PM me... |

I have a box of unused smoked front turn signals I can let go for cheap if interested. |

And if ledogboy would prefer amber corners, a swap could probably be arranged... I'd be into the smoked turns. :)
Haven't been back in these forums for a while, but I'll be there on Sunday. |

I just bought my son new taillights, the passenger side might be in good shape. I will check it out after work.
I need a pair of rebuildable stock Girling front calipers with bleeders that aren't frozen in place. |

If Mario doesn't have one available it looks like I also have a passenger rear taillight.
I also have square high beam headlights with brackets, old Westy slidding window mosquito screen, two different new sets of German square headlight guards, Projekt Zwo foglight guards, new and lightly used 2WD springs, seat belts, H4 square headlights, a couple of Westy gray cabinet doors, blah, blah need to get rid of my stash |
