You can do what's been suggested or for those in the US can send it to DPR Machine. I sent them a pic of the same crank flywheel situation and they said they could repair it. How much? Who knows? It's still on my shelf.

I also have a crank and flywheel that I've removed due to a loose gland nut (prev. Owner)

I'm now wondering for it's possible to weld up the holes and re drill using a good flywheel as a template.

Anyone tried this?

Yes I've done it several times. If it is a good crankworth 400$ or more fixed, I'll do it.
A stock crank in usable condition is only worth about 40$ IMO, so it's not worth the time. They should be worth 90$ IMO, but the market says they aren't.

There is a guy here that rotated the flywheel 45ยบ, and used the flywheel holes to pilot 4 new holes that he drilled. Drilled everything by hand, and beat the dowels in with a hammer. I told him that I wasn't going to do it for him, so he did it himself as he figured he had nothing to lose. Been that way for 2 years at least, sometimes you just get lucky I guess.

I had joked with him about welding the flywheel to the crank, and then had to seriously talk him out of actually doing it a few times, before I lent him a drill.

Get yourself an 84mm and have it wedge mated.

Unless it's a fancy crank I would just go for this sort of deal-

And then grab a flywheel to match from a local shop, a takeoff from a lightened flywheel install would be fine.

8 dowelling isn't needed unless you stomp it and dump the clutch frequently really.
