Well its not 100%,but theirs a lot of strong ties,vin#406***

When I saw this bus i just fell in love with its rare beauty and colors. I was lucky to work the the deal out with cru62,that is one of the coolest guys,Thanks for all that. I will be doing my best to bring it back to its natural beauty .There will still be a lot of research and leg work to confirm that it is the same bus.But never the less this bus is amazing and one of its kind. Any help or info would be much appreciated.
I will be digging and taking pics for any clues. :D

Wow, very cool bus. Where was it found?

Saw this Westy when it was found, definitely a cool project and looks fairly complete. The only issue I see is finding that tent... unobtanium.

I thought that would be a keeper for sure.

Wasn't Danny just selling everything and getting out of the hobby?
Maybe Andre could hit him up.

And those girls with the same outfits setting it up but at their current age...maybe not.

I thought so, too. However, after crawling around it and looking at it for a few weeks, I realized that the sympathetic "resto" or rejuvenation that I felt it needs was completely beyond both my skills and means. Coupled with the fact that I would need to complete and sell the "Goat'el" before I could do more than clean up this bus AND it would be stored outside in a HF carport pretty much sealed the deal. I didn't advertise it and was resigned to plugging away at my current project hoping to get to the new bus before I was too old to finish it.
Andre contacted me to see if I was interested in letting it go. Initially, I declined. But his offer got me thinking seriously. We talked a little and decided he should see the bus in person before anything else was decided. I have been a big fan of Andre's work and I eventually concluded that he could likely fulfill my vision faster and more skillfully than I would be able to. If I could I would have Andre do the work. In the end, this special bus went to someone who is even more enthusiastic about it than I was. Watch this space and be amazed!

We are all just care takers of these great pieces of history. I'm sure Andre will do the Westy justice.

Look forward to seeing this develop, a super cool bus regardless if it turns out to be the one in the mag.

thanks Chris for the kind words!
I allready started to tackle the front door.I did get the mirror arms off with out any fights.usually those are a big pain in the ass.I also took the what we think is that NOS rocker off on the driver's side.after digging into it.it will need the inners aswell.and the rockers where painted in red primer that faded to look like the SWR Inside. So We know for sure Westy painted the inside red 100%.

Chris noticed the water fill hose didn't seem correct... and was apparently replaced with some radiator hose. It must have worked for them... but just pointing it out in case you can come across something else / a correct one.

Nice job getting right to business!
