It's been about five months since the last real update on the split window bus project. Did you ever get it on the road? What are your plans moving forward?
I'd love to do a project very similar to yours, which is what makes me anxious for an update.
Here's my big bus... would love to have a VW bus to go along with it.

i watched the youtube walk through on your bus. it is quite awesome. an electric bulli would make a nice pull behind. More space than the mini |

Electric propulsion was not practical at the time the powertrain work was being done. I researched it and wasn't able to find anything that I'd be comfortable with. These days there are many more options... if I was restoring the bus 5 years from now, I'd search out a crashed Tesla semi and use its batteries and electric motor. Maybe I'll decide to do that one day if something ever happens to my current engine. |

| The bus also just appeared on the Extreme RVs show on the Great American Country channel. They'll be replaying it a few times over the next two months. There schedule is here: https://www.greatamericancountry.com/shows/extreme-rvs/episodes/500/keep-on-truckin I've also been told that the episode can be purchased for somewhere around $2 on amazon prime... it's season 5, episode 2 of the show. |

Unreal, that thing must be a blast. I'll go out on a limb and say the 34 minute video is a tad more comprehensive than the GAC feature, thanks for sharing. |

Sorry we've been busy moving and starting another business teaching people to build electric cars
Last week we had the automotive engineers inspection on the bus and can now apply to have the vehicle tax registration changed to electric drive. Once the legal stuff is out of the way we can put the bus on the road and start driving it daily 8)
I will get some decent video made showing the final build.

Note we have a thread going here for this topic so let's not duplicate anything here in this guy's dedicated Bus thread:

Beyond anything like it.
I'd like to see it one-on-one with the Volkswagen IECC Type 20.
That has front and rear power units with regenerative braking and charging right (without rereading)? |
