On the way down to Key West I stayed with Steve Van B outside Daytona as usual.

This is his new ride.

I call this Beauty and the Beast…

Today I added some labels to remind me that the speedo reads low by about 6% based on gps due to tire size partly (215/70r15). I went conservative on the conversion since in Europe the speed limit can be taken seriously by the police. The gas gauge reads low too.

And when I leave it at a storage area I want whoever drives it to know how to get into reverse.

And a reminder of the clearance needed. Double sided so it can be seen from outside. The euroBus is actually 8’-8”.

I finally got around to enclosing the webasto heater under the bus with the awesome stainless steel cover I bought from a shop in the Ukraine (pre war).

These are good ideas! Especially with the reverse one, none of my friends can put it into reverse..

"Hey, where is the reverse?"
"It's the same as first gear but you have to slighty push it more to the left and slightly bend the lever more left while pushing it down and turning it counter-clocwise, all while whistling the Rocky Balboa Music Theme" :D

How difficult is it to register an old vehicle in Europe? More specifically, importing and registering my syncro in Spain? It will be registered to a home address.

It looks like I need to apply for a European Certificate of Conformity.

Thanks

No clue at all. Sorry.

I am keeping this bus registered in the USA.

I cannot register it in Europe since I do not have citizenship in a country there.

As I've been seeing these mods I've wondered if the euroBus will be registered in euro and if it will pass all the strict modification rules or if it will be a Maryland expat living in euro?

And I guess this is the answer from page 1:

I'll not be on the road for any length of time that will trigger any notice vs six months. It will be in storage for at least 9 months a year. There are a ton of US vehicles in storage over there. I can keep the US registration/plates up to date since my state does not require an inspection or emissions for a historic vehicle.

When do you plan on shipping it there? - just curious.
I've been watching a youtube series where a woman from the Netherlands rides her motorcycle all over the world. She has sometimes has issues going over borders. I'm still on season 6. Pretty cool series
