Firstly - massively bummed about the Grand Canyon North Rim wildfire - we were there in mid-May and to hear/read that the Lodge and surrounding infrastructure are now all gone is a gut-punch of epic proportions.
That said, while we were camping there, I spoke at length with a camper that had the Bluetti AC180 Solar Portable Power Station with a 200W solar panel that he had picked up for ~$800 (~$500 w/o the panel) which is $550 off list price. He had no shortage of accolades for it and loved it so much that he got rid of his gas generator.
Super tempting at this price and lots of positive reviews - still on sale:

I prefer to see it as more like a potential therapeutic heating pad... especially nice if you have a sore back while camping. Or during winter, preheat your sleeping bag. :) |
