Anyone able to recommend a decent all-in-one remote oil filter mount and thermostat/bypass.
My new/old buggy is set up with remote filter that bypasses direct to the cooler. I'd like to stop it using the cooler until the engine is up to temp. I'd also like it a single filter/thermostat unit to save on having too many parts! |

I have been using the Mocal thermostat from John for 7 years now. so far so good. I like it as it makes the lines shorter and cleaner.

Get a high end one and you will have no regrets... The EMPI Version of it works but has leak issues... I tried may sealants on mine with fitting and at the intersection of the EMPI Thermostat/Valve, it leaked until I used JB Weld on it to seal it. Pain in the ass.... But yes, I run a remote thermostat switch form y Cooler's fan and also a Full Flow, which did not leak, So I blame the quality of the threads and lack there for of with the EMPI Oil Thermostat.. RB |

I use the mocal also but the high temp 204° one.I found the 180° degree one was leaving the milky goo in the system. |

I also use the Mocal Sandwich Thermostat on my buggy.
It works pretty good since I bypass my stock cooler by putting the fan pulley side plunger on the bottom of the hole and the spring above.
I was fighting too cold of oil for years but this has made it much better.
