Thanks guys, really happy to see you enjoying the update !
So, not only working on the body but I also do my best to get the pan and running gear on the move.
Assembly on the pan is moving forward :
And I rebuilt a 1960 split case gearbox (I did receive the ghia with a modern unit but wanted the "right" one):
Start:
Disassembly:
Blasting of the case: (picked up in style with the ragtop)
And after changing the necessary parts and adjusting the bearing preload:
This will come next on the pan!

So, back to metalshaping, the ghia is registered for the Hessisch Oldendorf Meeting in june 2026 so no time to waste!
Continuing on the front, I had started here:
So now the build:
Test fitting:
Adjusted in shape:
And welded in:
Stay tuned,

So, after that I build the renforcement triangles, first out of Cardboard:
Then in metal. I forgot the picture but can be seen here at the bottom. Jack's fixation is also visible there:
Then it was a big time, adjusting the front mask back:
Then tack welding it :
And here we are, my ghia is finally looking like a ghia again !!
Even put some of the stuff on it just to get the motivation even higher '

Hi Antoine,
I am always flabbergasted to see your Ghia moving along. Absolutely fantastic work you ar doing. Chapeau.
Maybe we see each other on a show in Germany, so far I haven’t attended a single one, but intend to do so.
All the best
