As the title states. I’m looking to see if anyone knows of a VS Sport will clear a CB Maxi pump 2 in a beetle?
I understand people have a love hate relationship with VS, people love to hate them. I understand all the cons of running one, I’m just looking to see if the Sport clears the pump.
Thank you! |

No, you need a remote filter. |

I have a CB Maxi 2 pump with a Vintage Speed 155-212-052SF mounted on my engine in my 65, and there is plenty of room for the filter.

This will be for a ‘65 as well. Looks like you bought the “narrowed” model for a earlier beetle. I did not think about that, although I saw that option available. I assume that’s the way to go? |

I'm running the Vintage Speed 155-203-05200 muffler. I was even able to pull out my old oil pump, and install the new CB pump/filter without taking off the VS muffler.

This is not the first time.
I had it confused with another engine I did that had a stock muffler and we had to use an in/out cover and remote filter.
Glad I was wrong. |

The pump works with a stock exhaust, that’s the set up I have now. Although the internals and my exhaust have a modified for better flow, its still the same size the same on the outside.
Thanks for the feedback everybody! |
