I thought he WAS CB Performance. As in, started it, owned it, etc, etc?

Nah, Pat was just a young pup when (DAD) started Claudes Buggies back in the 60s. Pat was the recent iteration though, I believe he was the face of CBs since the 1990s .

Claude’s Buggies (CB) was started by Claude Tomlinson.
Pat Downs is of no relation to the Tomlinson family.

You learn something everyday. The only thing I can say about Pat is that I once rang him for some advice and he gave me as much of his time as I needed, which I thought was damn good of him.

There is a “shop” section too - Pat is selling welded and balanced fans there. I have one for my engine - it is perfect. I suspect there will be many more high quality products in the future.

I am curious what really happened - although family time is very important and well deserved. We all have to do what is best for our families.

I hope CB will stay as strong as they have for years to come.

I have been getting ready as can be if comes the worse for the VW hobby ..if ever.

As all things must come to an end eventually. I hope our hobby lives a very long life.
