got this rack from local classifieds over the weekend, no name, stamped aluminum with wood slats. missing some essential mounting hardware but it was cheap. It fits the roof line well.

Thanks, I keep goin back and forth if I like the rack look on my Beetle.

Anyone ever seen this type of rack ? I believe it is VW specific since it follows the roof line so well.

Story was the Dude I got it from removed it from his '58 Beetle in 1968 and has been in the Barn at his parents place ever since.

That is the plan....Just need to do a slight mode to the right hand side one. The kit came with these oil bath aircleaners, so figured run them for now. The cyclones look way cleaner than any other airlcleaner. ( In my opinion )
