Should I use loctite on my case studs and what would the torque be?
I'm thinking 6-8lbs. over actual head torque.
Am I wrong? |

Am I wromg?
The case insert?
Or the head stud, into the case insert?
For an insert into the case, I recently used loktite 518 (anaerobic) sealer.
YMMV |

I use red loctite for the insert to case threads, and Loctite 592 for studs into the inserts. Always better to have a stud come out and leave the insert tight in the case |

Just thread them in by hand so that they end up just below the case. Use red thread locker on them. |
